March 19th is the 50th anniversary of the release of Bob Dylan’s first album, marking the beginning of the career of the greatest American musician of all time. Certainly we think so on forest glen road.
I thought spring was well on its way, but it turns out we had at least one more emphatic winter “event” before the warmer weather arrives. Heavy snow, (not in accumulation, but wet and weighty) came down, and hammered our cabin’s roof while also blanketing the trees, proving too heavy for some of them. I spent the morning clearing the road, and feeling thankful that we didn’t have a tree on our roof over night.
Earl Blumenauer has represented Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District since 1996. As Representative, he founded the Congressional Bike Caucus, and is working to help Washington DC become more bikeable, after facilitating efforts over the last decade to help turn Portland into one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world.
