Bilbo’s Rucksack.

I guess it’s clear by now that I am in a bit of a rucksack craze.  Following on the heels of the timeless Archival rucksack and the classic Duluth rucksack, I couldn’t help but post Bilbo’s rucksack from The Hobbit trailer.  It’s probably understated for a hobbit, but that’s just Bilbo’s way.  I would definitely be thrilled to find one of these.  And, yes, I am a Tolkien geek.

Duluth Packs.

I stumbled across this photo by Derek Dix over at cork grips.

I love this shot and the Duluth pack.  As Derek points out about his shot, there are definitely some good vibes going on here.

Merry Christmas.

Heaven. With a Fly Rod.

I have probably broken some unspoken reblogging law with this one, yet another incredible find from LogCabineer.  A ridiculously beautiful gem that has me looking forward to trout season.  Amazing.  And including a soundtrack by one of my favorites, The Tallest Man on Earth.

Family Slides.

For a Christmas present for my father, I am going through old family slides, scanning them all, and printing out some enlargements.  There are over 500 slides, and I am doing them one at a time.  It is a bit tedious, but the images are incredible.  My grandfather on my dad’s side passed away when I was just 3, so it is definitely nice to see some photos of him that I have never seen before.
